Ziyi and I were once at a restaurant and talked about being traumatized about goldfish as children.
When I was in third grade, my goldfish died.
That day I came home from school to go to the bathroom and didn't turn on the light.
I wanted to press the flush button, I turned on the light and found the red goldfish lying on a piece of paper towel on the button.
My mom explained that she wanted me to see it one last time. Surely, this is not an acceptable explanation.
Since then, fish have become something indescribable creepy to me.
After hearing this, Ziyi put down her spoon and nodded in agreement.
I felt that her view on pet fish was much more radical than me.
She was almost stirred and said aloud to me,
“ Yes, those creature absolutely weird. To be honest, a lot of them are completely bred by humans, and they die so easily.
There is no value or meaning except swimming in the water and eating feed and be watched by humans.
So creepiness that they are alive but not in the biological chain."
